Blemish Removal

Providing professional yet affordable blemish removal treatments in Thame and across the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire area

Here at Skin society we use advanced electrolysis method also known as diathermy or electro-cautery, our blemish treatments involve using a pen-like device with a very fine, accurate probe. This device emits short wave diathermy cauterising the blemish which is then either fully removed on the day of treatment or will disperse naturally over a short period.

Varied techniques are used depending on the blemish being treated. Patients may experience mild discomfort and healing time varies but is usually within a minimum of 10 days of which there will be aftercare advice you will need to adhere to in this time frame. All aftercare products required are provided to you and included in the treatment cost.

You will be booked in for a post treatment review/ check up to ensure the area has healed nicely and you are happy, if further treatment is required this will be done so then if possible.

Booking a consultation prior to any treatment is required to ensure you are medically safe to proceed and that treatment is suitable for you.

FAQ

  • How long does the treatment take?

You will initially have a full consultation to include a medical questionnaire, and a thorough examination of the blemish to ensure that it is safe to be removed. Once this has been completed the actual treatment generally takes no more than 5 to 30 seconds per small skin imperfection. Larger blemishes may take longer but this will be discussed at your initial consultation

  • How long will the effects last?

Most blemishes, once treated will not return. However, there is  always a risk that the blemish will re-grow, or others may appear in the same area. If this is the case, repeat treatments may be required.
